Sunshine Guidelines – February 2010

1. RECOGNITION of a member – When a member receives an award/ honor from an outside source/organization, a verbal acknowledgement will be made at a General Meeting when such award is made known to the HCMG President.

2. MARRIAGE of a member – The Hospitality/Outreach committee chairperson shall send a card

3. BIRTH of a member’s child – The Hospitality/Outreach committee chairperson shall send a card.

4. ILLNESS of a member - The Hospitality/Outreach committee chairperson shall send a card and/or contact the member by telephone.

5. A) DEATH of a member or spouse – A card shall be sent to the nearest living relative, and a $50.00 donation in memory of the member or spouse shall be made to an appropriate charity.

 5. B) DEATH of a parent, child, brother, sister, or grandchild of a member – A card shall be sent to the member.

5. A and B shall be handled by the appropriate Executive Board office.

Additionally, any other expressions of sympathy, recognition, or congratulations shall be made at a member’s personal expense.
