Last February over 150 Georgia Master Gardenersattended this Fantastic Seminar and, simply put, had a ball!!!! Last year, in addition to a great STI training course, attendees received The Scotts CompanyORTHO PROBLEM SOLVER book, valued at over $200 and a bunch of other goodies. This year we are celebrating our 5th year in providing these “FREE” seminars and expect a huge increase in the number of participants and…who knows what “goodies” STIattendees will receive this year. This is the one event you can’t afford to miss…it’s FREE, EDUCATIONAL and WE FEED YOU!

What can you learn you might ask? Well…
The purpose of the training seminar is to help you and through you, your communities to better understand:
1. What 70% - 80 % of all "home owner landscape chemicals/special potting and garden soils" products sold in the nurseries, “big box” and other stores in our area do and can do for the average user.
2. The What, Where, When and How to properly use these chemicals. Scotts will teach you the chemical names for their products to be used in correspondence with the Georgia Pest Management Handbooks. This will help you help your clients, whether one on one, or when you are working Plant Doctor Clinics, Home Shows, etc., answering garden related questions.
3. How to help the average home gardener maintain his/her landscaping considering our “drought” conditions and watering restrictions.
The Scotts Company has developed this educational training exclusively for Master Gardener volunteers and this is a great opportunity for you to meet a number of your fellow Master Gardeners from throughout Metro Atlanta and the other Georgia areas as well as learn the proper and practical uses of some of the most effective landscape chemicals available to the residential market. All of this and a FREE lunch to boot. Ya just can’t beat it!

The Scotts Companyis a believer in and a staunch supporter of the Georgia Master Gardener Program as well as your County Extension Service Office(s). It is your outreach to your respective community(s) that makes a difference!
Active Georgia Master Gardeners, Georgia Master Gardeners “in training” and“Registered Friends” of Georgia Master Gardeners can attend.We know that occasionally a Master Gardener may wish to bring a guest to the seminar. We have limited space for the seminar so “guest(s)” will be accommodated on a first come first served basis and only if space allows.
