Great Turnout for Monthly Meeting:
More than 60 members were at last week’s monthly meeting to
hear Lee Baker and Bob May from Workshop Creations talk
about birdhouses, bat houses, and butterfly houses. A very
interesting talk. Their products will be available at the
Fall Garden Expo.
Thank You:
Habit for Humanity sent us a thank-you note for the grant
we made to support the landscaping of their most recent
Habitat homes. We appreciate Patsy Kilmartin and Jan Tuttle
spearheading this project for Habitat. Habitat will be
conducting door prize raffles at the Fall Garden Expo.
Fall Garden Expo:
Thirty-five vendors have registered for this year’s Fall
Garden Expo, to be held on September 13. This is the most
vendors we have ever had for the Fall Expo. Flyers are
still available at the Extension Office. The volunteer
schedule is below.
Fall Gardening Symposium:
Registration is now available on our website, utilizing Pay
Pal. You may also print off the registration form and send
with a check to the Extension Office.
2009 HCMG Calendar
This valuable, but inexpensive, historical collector’s item
is available for purchase for ONLY $10.00. Please contact
Melanie Clark if you have not ordered your calendars yet.
Calendars will be available at the Fall Garden Expo, as
well.
