Last Week’s Monthly Meeting:

Our monthly meeting at Elachee Nature Center was
well-attended, with enthusiastic support for the new 2009
HCMG calendar. Cynthia Taylor, natural resource manager at
Elachee, presented great information regarding invasive
plants. The membership agreed to establish a $4,000 grant
pool for the 2008-2009 school year for special request
Junior Master Gardener projects.

2009 HCMG Calendar:

Orders for the new calendar can be registered at the
Extension Office, or from Melanie Clark. The calendar will
also be on sale at the Fall Garden Expo and the Fall

DEAL!

your trowels, shovels and clippers and bug spray. Wilshire
Park is just off Pearl Nix and behind Gainesville H.S. with

Saturday, August 2 - 8 AM Start. Master Gardeners will
landscape two Habitat houses located almost back to back on
