Spring Garden Expo:

We have another great Spring Garden Expo planned for April
11 and 12,including several new vendors, interesting
workshops, raffle to benefit the Habitat for Humanity, and
FREE mulch!
What we need are thousands of visitors. To achieve that, we
need your help in distributing flyers. Please pick up
flyers at Extension Office, and get them into people’s
hands. Thanks for your help.

Braselton Fair Support:

The Braselton Antique and Gardening Fair is April 26 and
27. We need volunteers to support the Ask A Master Gardener
booth, and to conduct thirty minute workshops. If
interested in volunteering, and available, please contact
Dave Rusk.

Demo Gardens Progress:
Shrubs in the first garden in the Demo Gardens at the Hall
County Board of Education site have been planted! We send
a big THANK YOU to the 18 Master Gardeners who worked with
an East Hall horticulture class in planting on Friday.
This week we’ll be setting the date for another planting
day of Gold Medal annuals, perennials, and
vines/groundcovers. If you have any of these plants that
you’d like to donate, please contact the Lovetts ASAP. As
soon as we’ve determined the donations, we’ll buy the
remaining ones needed.
Plans are now being made for the native shade garden, the
children’s garden, and a conifer garden. Each garden has
its own committee. Please notify the Lovetts if you’d like
to be a part of the planning committee for any of these.

Senior Center Progress:

Our second work session at the Senior Center will be on
Saturday, March 29th from 8:30 AM ‘til 12:30 PM. Tasks
will include removal of stumps, remaining from the shrubs
which we cut down on last Monday, removal of an existing
loose-laid concrete block curb and miscellaneous clean-up.
David Jones has volunteered to assist with stump extraction
using one of his machines. A subsequent work session will
be devoted to preparing beds for planting. I will e-mail
all registered volunteers.

Suntrust $$:

Anyone who opens an account at Suntrust will be given
l00.00 toward any Non-Profit Organization. If lots of
Master Gardeners (Hall County) do that we can earn lots of
money to continue our projects for "Teaching Others To
Grow". If every MG opened an account and designated HCMG,
we would have more funds to help the Community. (From
Deloris Smith)

Monthly Meetings:

April 15th: Will be at Myers Elementary School. More
details later.

May 20: Annual Plant Auction; Chicopee Woods Activities
Building. A great fund-raiser for HCMG, from plants donated
by HCMG members.
