Addendum to Weekly Newsletter for March 3
Senior Center Project, from Hugo Kollmer:
Weather permitting, our first work session at the Senior
Center will be held Friday, March 7th from 8:30 AM to
approx. 12:30 PM. We will be removing existing overgrown
shrubbery, creating space for future plantings. The
center is located at 430 Prior St. SE. Prior St.
intersects Jesse Jewell Parkway midway between EE Butler
Parkway and the NE GA Med Center. Traveling east on Jesse
Jewell, from EE Butler, toward the hospital, turn right
onto Prior St. at the traffic light. Then turn right into
the first driveway. The Senior Center is the first
building (one story brick) on the left. Their phone number
is: (770) 503-3331.
Most of the hollies, which we intend to remove, have
spinney foliage. Therefore, I recommend wearing a long
sleeve shirt
If you have them, bring:Work gloves, Pruners, Loppers,
Shovel,
Grub axe (Mattock), Leaf rake, Pruning saw, Tarp for
gathering debris.
The tentative date for our next work session is Sat., March
15th.
