Extension News

There is a new system for checking out the HCMG Epson Projector.  Anyone needing to reserve the projector should contact me at mailto:loricarson@charter.net or 678-450-3847.  If the date is available, the projector will be reserved for you and Wanda Cannon will be notified of the schedule.  The projector can be signed out from Wanda’s office no more than 24 hours before the reservation date and must be returned within 48 hours of use (except over the weekend).  In order to sign out the projector, you must fill out the log book in Wanda’s office and verify whether you take all the pieces of equipment that are with the projector. The same procedure applies for signing it back in.  This will assure that we do not lose all the pieces and parts that go with the projector.  A long extension cord with multiple outlets is available for check-out if needed.

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Winter, 2010, GMGA Conference:

The HCMG membership has agreed to host the January, 2010, Winter GMGA Conference in Gainesville. Because of this, we will not hold the 2009 Fall Gardening Symposium, but put our efforts towards the Conference.

HCMG VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES….

Anyone interested?? Please contact her if you would like to help with this.

I would like to start a gardening group in my neighborhood and have guest speakers come from time to time. I was wondering if the Master Gardeners did anything like that. I was hoping to have someone come out in March to talk about preparing planting beds and to answer questions about gardening in general.

Thank you,
